I’m currently using a computer system that requires me to change my password every 30 days. So far I haven’t had any problems remembering my login information, but I will confess to writing myself obscure notes as a reminder – and then forgetting what my notes were for.
We use our computers to store and access personal information and websites. The use of passwords allows us to prove our identity and connect with email accounts, various websites, and the computer itself. One security tip often given is to change our passwords frequently. When was the last time you did this for all of your accounts?
DAY 10 Challenge:1-3, or 5 pts Update your computer passwords. Post “Done” to let us know you’ve completed the task. Hint: Do not use the same password for all of your accounts!
Level Up: 5 pts Without sharing specific personal details, tell us how you secure your passwords. Have you tried other methods? What makes this system work for you?
