For most of us, we take a lot for granted. When we flip a light switch, we expect a light to come on, when we want to take a shower, we expect the water to flow and to have a nice hot shower. Water, sewer, gas, and electric are essential utilities is most households. Living in the Pacific Northwest, I have also become accustom to having curbside garbage, recycling and yard waste. In today’s modern world, many of us would also include cable, internet and telephone service into this category. For today’s challenge we want to see how much you know about your Utilities.
DAY 23 Challenge:1-3, or 5 pts For Today’s challenge we want you to show us what you know about your utilities. To start, we want you to locate and show us where the shut off’s for your water, gas, and electric are for your home.
Level Up: 5 pts For today’s level up, some of these utilities need a special tool to shut off. We want you to share with us these tools, AND also explain when and if you would shut off your utilities. Is is automatic after a disaster or is there other criteria you use to determine if you need to shut your utilities off?
